As you may have heard, Snerts Entertainment’s first feature film, “The Life After,” was recently an “Official Selection” at the 2007 Long Island International Film Expo. Just being accepted into such a prestigious festival was amazing enough, but even better still was hearing all the positive feedback from the audience. The screening went off without a hitch and the film was able to make a great impression on some very important people. As a whole, the audience seemed to be engaged by the story… laughing at the humor, jumping at the suspense, and tearing up at the emotion. I thought that we couldn’t have been happier with the festival until…
We won the “Best Long Island Film” award. This is a great honor against a lot of competition as it is one of the few awards that spans both features and shorts. The awards gala was amazing and again our film seemed to touch more people than I had been aware of. I have never been more proud of our film than on that night. To see the caliber of films that we were up against and to see such respect shown towards ours was truly an inspiring experience.
This award is for everyone that worked on the film. From our crew to our amazing cast, we were truly all responsible for making this film a success and I share this award with all of you.
